As detailed in the intro to our SVRN stake pool operation, not all forms of currency are the same. The future of all our collective savings depends upon truly viable, decentralized alternatives to the current monopoly of the legacy financial system. Likewise, the release to market of these amazing, alternative energy inventors' technologies, are also contingent upon the decentralization of the energy monopoly all the same, but this energy monopoly is protected by the financial one; hence our focus on the financial alternative first. Happily, this promises to be a most fruitful endeavor!
If there's any Bitcoin in your portfolio, you already know the kind of alternatives we mean, but - as much as we love Bitcoin - from both an environmental/sustainability and design standpoint, while it certainly paved the way (and continues to) towards the future, there's a third generation blockchain & cryptocurrency many believe is primed to become the world's next financial operating system*. Cardano™ is its name, and if you're not already familiar with it, we strongly recommend learning as much as you can.
Of importance to note, before continuing, is that Cardano is a Proof of Stake based blockchain/cryptocurrency. It has a fixed upper limit, like Bitcoin, so it's value can never be inflated away once fully distributed. Once obtained, it should be delegated to a Stake Pool Operator (SPO) of your choice. Doing so allows you to partake in what is, on average, approximately 5% return per year. Please note: Delegation does NOT mean you should send your ADA (the cryptocurrency of Cardano) to anyone! Should anyone ask or insist that you need to send your ADA to them in order to delegate, they are lying and it's a scam!
Delegation is simply, in effect, the 'nomination' of a given Stake Pool Operator (like SVRN), of your choice. You can change who you delegate to at any time, and your ADA always remains secure within your wallet. In short, delegation is what permits your involvement within the decentralized Cardano network, and allows for receipt of the aforementioned rewards. "Involvement" meaning far more than one might otherwise imagine at this point (see the Cardano Roadmap)
