Philip de Souza,
Founding Writer, Producer, & Artistic Director

"Art is individualism, and individualism is a disturbing and disintegrating force. There lies its immense value. For what it seeks is to disturb monotony of type, slavery of custom, tyranny of habit, and the reduction of man to the level of a machine." ~ Oscar Wilde, 'The Soul of a Man Under Socialism'

From a family of journalists-turned-producers, and raised in northern Virginia, Philip spent a total of eight years in the formal study of English and the arts, first with Drama & Theatre Arts at University of London (Goldsmiths), followed by formal actor training at Drama Centre, London, from where he then landed a role as an Australian doctor, opposite Nigel Hawthorne, in the award winning mini series from the UK, 'The Fragile Heart'. Since then he's had the honor of being involved in several commercial and theatrical productions, most recently as a New Zealand doctor, opposite Fionnula Flanagan, in Brazil's Oscars 2017 Best Foreign Film-nominated production, Pequeno Segredo.

Dividing his time between his craft and his work, as both Head of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and systems/network/database administrator for an IT consultancy firm based in Los Angeles (recently acquired by Accenture) (remotely, part-time), as well as (full time) Central Information Architect for the official stock exchange of Germany & the EU, Deutsche Börse Group; formerly in their Regulatory Reporting Hub's OTC Trading Unit, where he was team-lead for the FCA's certification of the exchange in a post Brexit scenario. Philip also deployed, maintains, and oversees the new SVRN project for Sleeping Natives, along with production assembly oversight, as "Chief Volunteer", for the organization's numerous technical and educational projects.
